BEACH CITY, Ohio (April 4, 2011) – Progressive Foam Technologies, Inc., the inventors of insulated siding and makers of Fullback®, just launched their first continuing education course for architects, entitled “Improving Building Performance with Insulated Siding as an Exterior Cladding”.

The course, which has been approved by the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) Continuing Education System (CES), will be hosted by Hanley Wood University. Successful course completion can earn AIA members one learning unit of HSW/SD (Health, Safety and Welfare/Sustainable Design).

This new course was designed to provide information for architects regarding the importance of building envelope insulation in achieving high energy and environmental performance in residential and light commercial buildings. It will also provide information on the role of insulated vinyl siding as an exterior cladding that can improve wall system performance. In addition, the unit will discuss the energy and environmental benefits that can be achieved by using insulated siding, as well as compare and contrast factory-laminated insulated siding and field-applied siding insulation, where applicable.
